I'm on the top of the world lookin'
Down on creation and the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world— The Carpenters, "Top of the World" (1972)
"Top of the World" was the first international country single released by The Carpenters. It became their second #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was originally recorded in 1972 for the album A Song for You, but was remixed in 1973 for the single release and for their first compilation, The Singles: 1969-1973.
